I have the i531 and when I turn it on the green light will flash the screen will not come on then it turns off and it i even replaced the batteries a number of times.

I have the same exact problem with my Polaroid Digital Camera Series i533. The green light flashes the start-up picture will come on (occasionally), then it will shut right back off. I have also changed the batteries several times. I have even charged them. Nothing will work. My user guide doesn't help at all. What is the solution? Your camera has 4 modes flash function :
1; Flash Off ( flash will Off in any shoot)
2. Flash Fill in ( flash always On)
3. Auto Flash (Camera decided flash)
4. Red Eye reduction flash ( Camera decide flash).
You can set your flash base on your need.
Your tv screen has problems with the video mode that has setted up on your ps3, hold the power button till hear two beeps, this will reset the video mode of the ps3, and leavse you at a screen to set up the video mode of the ps3.
Try removing the motherboard from the screens and attach the battery the green light should turn on and stay on.
Now attach the lower screen and turn on. If the screen is ok the screen and green light will flash and then turn off. (if the screen doesn't flash the bottom screen is you're problem and will have to be replaced)
If this happens the problem is then you're top screen which you will have to replace.
Im not an expert in camera however i can suggest you to reset the camera. if not resolve then, the battery connnection failure to connect when the camera boot up. please do a series of check up of the battery connection. if you affraid to do so, the; maybe you can let the repairman do it for you.
I have the exact same issue. It needs to be returned to the manufacturer. Make sure you have your receipt or they wont take it back if it was made after the manufacturing date (Mine was made in April 2007). The warranty only lasts one year from purchase. You have to call them and get authorization for the return. Good luck!
