This is delicate work and and can be difficult. Most repairs are limited to power connectors and other larger "through the board" component leads. You'll need a soldering iron with a fairly small tip with 15 to 30 watts of power max; (or way to adjust the heat up / down as needed) to prevent over heating and delamination of printed circuit traces from the board itself. A magnifying glass would probably be almost as important.
The really small items - called "SMT" or surface mount technology" devices - have extremely small solder connections that make it far too easy to have a glob of solder make contact with (or "bridge") two or more conductors not intended to be connected to each other. if you do manage to get solder someplace it was not intended you could cause more problems ie: cause the failure of the power supply, memory modules, drives or even data.
Good luck!
You can but unless you do a lot of work on mother boards and have the right equipment, you will probably burn the copper circuit and make it worse
