Dear sir/Madam,
I have vista Home in my laptop this is not supported my software so i plan to change windowxp. If i install the window xp os in my laptop i got the error ( setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in your computer.Make sure and hard disk drives are powered on and properly connected to your computer, and that any disk-related hardware configuration is correct. This may involve running a manufacturer-supplied diagnostic or setup program) so please kindly give the solution to solve the problem
Pls provide the Hard Disk Controller driver/Sata Controller driver disk at the time of setup. Press F6(to specify sata/scsi controller driver) at the first face of setup and provide the driver floppy disk. I think u can fix the problem by using this solution
OK,,
I had an hp that was not build for nor would it support vista as per HP. I wipe the hard drive using MaxtorBlast4 software. With that you can write 0s to the HDrive. and it will be like a brand new H/Drive. mind you it will take some time. just let it d it's thing. at the end of that, place you vista OS in the CDROM. And be sure that the BIOS is set to boot from CD first. So place you Vista OS in the CDROM and press ctrl-Alt-delete to restart. When the OS is finish installing you would have to go to each manufacture of your hardware site to update you hardware drivers. It will take some time but it will work.
HP want to know how I did it.
Good luck.
Let me know about your progress please
Thx
Try backing up your important files and format your hard drive and run a clean install of windows xp
You may not have enough space on your hard-drive/s.
