Skype problem I'm using vista...when i use skype sometimes i've audio problem or video problem..i've tried to reinstall new skype still the problem prevails...

Skype latest version is not compatible with vista...u need to download the previous version skype 3.0 or 3.5 .....dat will work with vista fine..

please Followup,
Incase you have recently started using skype and facing issues with audio. it could be an issue with the audio drivers on the system, you may need to uninstal and reinstall the audio drivers.

Also you said you have uninstalled and reinstaled skype, that shhould have fixed the audio issue if any exist with skype.

May i know when was the last time the skype was working fine ? with the audio. ??

Incase you have recently started using skype and facing issues with audio. it could be an issue with the audio drivers on the system, you may need to uninstal and reinstall the audio drivers.

Also you said you have uninstalled and reinstaled skype, that shhould have fixed the audio issue if any exist with skype.

I reload my skype again with new password and skype name and still cant download skype.
Uninstall the skype program completely then download and reinstall.

If issue still persist perform the system restore. You can choose the date of the restore point. Think when was the last time you were able to use the skype normally.

I can login to Skype with my older Sony with XP,but I can't login with my new Toshiba with vista. What's the problem with vista?
Dear sir, there is no problem with Vista, but unfortunately Skype does not support Windows Vista as of version 3.2. But in rare case it works fine with Vista but you have to install new audio video drivers plus your Vista should be updated. If it will work for you then good enough otherwise you have to wait till the new version or till skype supports Windows Vista.

Im trying to video chat on skype using the minicam pro and it never actually works it just keeps saying starting video. I have installed the programs correctly uninstalled and reinstalled them and it still...
Try your webcam here, by hitting 'Allow' in the top window

Your webcam should broadcast in the left hand window.

If that is successful you know you can now configure it to Skype
Start Skype.
On the Tools menu, click 'Options'.
In the navigation pane of the Skype Options window, click 'Audio Settings'.
Select your mic as the default microphone.
In the navigation pane of the Skype Options window, click 'Video Settings'.
Select your webcam as the default.
Trim webcam image using 'Settings'
Click Save.
Test Cam by making a Skype test call.

Hi, The best thing to do is remove both Skype & your camera-Display system then everything is uninstalled restart your PC once everything has restarted install your camera operating system restart your PC again, now install Skype restart PC again, now all should work perfectly. Can´t see video in color using Skype and built in camera

Also send this to your family and friends so they have there computer setup properly.
Web Camera’s have to be setup on the program they are to be used with. Just installing the camera on your computer does not set it up to broadcast on messengers or Skype.

Each program has Options that have to be setup in order for the Audio and Video to function properly.

A. Skype Setup:

After downloading and installing Skype (http://www.skype.com/intl/en-gb/download/skype/windows/beta/downloading/) set it up as follows:

  1. Go to Tools, then Options, and click on Audio Settings and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
  2. Then click on the Video Settings.
  3. The camera if Installed Properly will come up and show a video picture.
  4. Then, on the bottom of the page click on Save.

The camera and audio should function properly. Your friends and Family will now be able to see and her to you.

B. Yahoo Setup:

After downloading and installing Yahoo Messenger (http://www.soft32.com/download_30.html ) set it up as follows:

  1. Go to Messenger at the top left and click on it.
  2. Next go down to Preferences and click on it.
  3. Next Calling and Devices on the right and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
  4. Next go to the Test Audio section and (in blue writing) click on “Open the call setup assistant” and follow the instructions on the left window.

I,ve bought new pc it has vista home on it, so the dsrivers that came with the camera is for 98/se/2000
Normal 0 Double click on this site to download Micro-Innovations Camera drivers.

Find your camera number and download the drivers.
Then do this:
Disconnect the Camera from the USB port and reinstall the CD or Downloaded softwareprogram. When the program asks you to connect the camera to theUSB port, do so and it should work.Then to use it on the Web, do this.

  3. Next go to the Menu Bar on right side, click on “ “Action.”
  4. Go to “TOOLS” and click “Audio and Video Setting” and follow the instructions.
NOTE: Your audio and video should work. Enjoy.

When done both the Audio and Video will function properly so you can chat and see family or friends you are connected to.
