You should try reset it by holding the power button down for 20 seconds, or in till you see it start to reboot then let go., hope this helps

When I was purchasing books last night my Kindle froze and would not function. I cut it off to try to reboot and now it won't come on. ???

Try rebooting your Kindle by holding the 'on' switch down for 20 seconds then letting go - it should 'reboot' by itself. You may have to do it a couple of times to reset your Kindle.

If this doesn't work, contact Amazon Customer Service as this is a common problem.
