Why has 32 gb memory card stopped accepting scanned photos?
I've scanned hundred of pics on this memory card. Now it won't accept new pics. My camera memory card works fine in scanner and accepts scanned pics. Is the first memory card a loss?

When your camera was made for SD cards (you did not help us here by entering a brand and model) it could be it won't accept the newer SDHC cards or the SDXC cards.
The SD cards were made up to 4 GB, but now even the 1 GB cards already are SDHC, because they are faster.
Again, when a device is made for SD cards and it did not get an software update, you most likely can't use SDHC cards and certainly no SDXC cards (above 32 GB)
And every card you put in your camera, first format the card in the camera, before using it.
Did you use a high capacity memory card with an old camera? For example, did you use a SDHC card in a somewhat old camera?
Some cameras accept only SD card. Although SDHC card has the same shape, it won't be reconized by the camera.
This camera model may not connect to new operating systems such as Windows Vista due to its age and lack of support from Olympus. In order to download photos you will need to use a memory card reader to connect and download photos. Be sure to purchase a memory card reader that will accept the type of memory card you have. I believe this camera uses SmartMedia which is no longer used and a card reader will be harder to locate.
Funny, I recently bought the exact same model. The answer to your question is simple (that's the good news!)
A long time ago, when these small SD Cards first appeared, they were limited in capacity from 128 Megabytes (MB) to a maximum capacity of 2 Gigabytes (GB).
To enable the same size card to store a greater capacity, a new specification had to be created. This new spec. was SDHC, and allowed the cards to store from 4 GB up to 32 GB.
The confusion arises because people still refer to all these cards as 'SD cards' when the higher capacity cards should really be called 'SDHC' cards.
Your camera will accept standard SDHC cards. Just make sure you don't order 'mini' cards which are much smaller in dimension.

First of all, do not save any new file to camera's memory card.
Take out memory card, and connect it to computer using a card reader. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in Windows Explorer. Download this photo recovery software http://www.asoftech.com/apr/ Install and open the photo recovery software, select the memory card, and click 'Start' button.
