Hi Gary Brooks, I would be happy to do all I can to help you with your C6280. I understand it will not turn on, and the adapter light is illuminate until you connect the cable to the printer. Please review the following document to ensure you have completed all of the necessary troubleshooting;
HP Printers The HP Printer Does Not Turn On or Respond When the Power...

Also, do you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet or is it in a surge protector or power bar? Even if you have been using a surge protector/power bar all this time and you feel it is not the cause, please connect it to a wall outlet just so we can eliminate the power source as the root cause. Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector
In this document you will see, ISSUE: Problems or issues may arise when an HP LaserJet series printer is connected to an uninterruptible power supply (UPS), a power strip, or a surge protector
^ This is not limited to Laserjet printers.

I hope this helps. I work on behalf of HP.

Officejet pro 8500a premium power light on but touch screen is off and will not respond and the power button will not respond either

hi, Mr Justin Becker
i think its a power supply problem, first you should try another dc adaptor, if your printer works fine with the new one, you have to replace it or take it for repair.
if it is a DC Adaptor problem it cost about: US $29.74

Printer power on/off button does not respond and northing works

1) Connect the printer directly to the walloutlet..
2) Try with different wall outlet...
3) Check if the button is stuck inside or not..
4) Remove the power chord from he back of the printer and then press and hold down the power button for 30 sec... release the button and then plug in the power chord...
Check if the power button responds or not...
5) Check if there is any light on the adaptor or not or if the printer has any light or not...
if there is no LED light on the adaptor it is a problem with the power adaptor ..
If there is light on the adaptor as well as printer and power button does not respond it is an issue with the printer..
You must replace the printer...

Laptop will not turn on.

plug it into the wall , most newer laptops will have a power boost while plugged into AC.
check your power cable receptical on the back of the laptop, these are notorious for getting loose.
check the cable on the ac adaptor, these are bad for getting breaks that you cant see in them (run your hand down the cable physically and fell for any breaks while unplugged, then do it again plugged in and watch for lights to flicker on the computer.
look for the power light on the laptop to come on when you plug the adaptor in. if you get a light on the adaptor and on the computer, then the adaptor isnt the issue.
the next step is checking the power button and power supply.. post what your results are here and we'll move to the next step if not resolved.

Totally lost power to HP 7110

Don't Worry the HP printer are deisgned to connect without the surg protector.

Try the steps mentioned bellow

Unplug the power cord from the All-In-One as well as the power outlet when there is still power in the All-In-One. and wait for atleast 1Min
Plug the power cord directly to a wall outlet without surg protector. (if possible connect it to a different power outlet)
Before connecting the power cord to the All-In-One press and hold the # and no 6 button and then insert the power cord, do not release the keys
until you see a message a reset (if the screen goes blank then release the keys and turn the power on)

If This does not work in the power cord you will see a rectangle box like thing thats a apdptor, after plugging it to the power oulet for a couple of minitues, check and see if you can feel any heat in the adaptor if yes then the adaptor is good the power cord may be bad, so accordingly replce the power cord or adaptor:

HP deskjet f340 all in one printer

its the problem in your adaptor for sure.but before going for the new adaptor please check the jack of the printer where you connect the adaptor is loose or slightly pressed inside or looks any thing like damaged.if not then try in another electric outlet.also try with different power cord wire which you connect in the adaptor the three pin adaptor.that is near about less then 2$ if you want to replace.and if still does not work then its the adaptor you have to replace.that will cost u near to $10.
