It is just the grease in the gearbox breaking down. It is food grade grease so perfectly harmless. Wipe it away from time to time or pull the mixer apart and change the grease. When the oil stops leaking it will then be necessary to change the grease as it will be getting too thick to do any good in there.
Remove the chrome drip ring that covers the outer planetary, clean it out, wipe as much oil away as possible, put the drip ring back on and carry on using it. Eventually you will need to completely dismantle the gearbox and clean out & change the grease. It's not the sort of job to look forward to. The old grease slowly breaks down over time and the oil is separating out from the grease solids. It is special food grade grease so completely harmless.
Kitchenaid says to run the machine on 'high' long enough to heat the gearbox well and then turn the machine upside down and let it cool.
What happens is when you don't use your mixer a lot the grease in the gearbox will separate into oil and thicker grease. Warming it and turning it upside down is supposed to mix all the grease together again and allow it to flow to the top of the gearbox.

The leaking comes from the lower gearbox assembly, ther are two kind of gearbox. There are two kind of vertical drive shaft, 14mm and 12,7mm that goes through the gearbox.
You can try to replace the grease, make sure that is vegetable grease.
