There are many different ways, because each TV manufacturer calls each menu option something different. In your TV menu there should be an option that says Set Up, or Channels, or something similar. Your TV should be, Menu, pan right to Channel, select whether you are using Air (air meaning antenna, picking up channels that are broadcast free over the air) or Cable (only if you use cable with no box).
