Use code search on your AMELY URC to find something that works. If a search through all codes stored in the URC fails, try a different one.

Unless stated otherwise either on the unit itself or in the instruction manual, no. Those media formats may not be supported. The downside is I doubt your DVD player will play raw .MP4 .AVI or .WMV data files though. Those formats must be converted (using relevant transcoding software - for example, ConvertXtoDVD) to a compatible standard for DVD/Video CD (where applicable). The upside of this is that you may be able to play MP3 audio files on this unit with no extra conversion required.
Your player may not support DivX files either, unless stated otherwise on either the unit or in the manual.

There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. You can't, at least not legally - you are not allowed to copy your own disks, even for backup. But you can take a look here...

Try a different disc, one that worked before if problem still persists try and buy a lens cleaning disc that should solve your problem. If not, your optical laser head needs replacing.

I had a 32" Coby that did the same thing, turned out to be a defective main board. The main board wasn't sending the 3.3v signal to wake up the power supply. In my case I sold the tv for parts because it wasn't cost effective to replace the main board. It sound like your main board
