Let's pretend it's an artificial plant!

The normal way to remove a plant from a pot is to hake sure the potting compost is slightly damp, then, holding the plant's stem between thumb and fingers, with the palm flat on the compost, to invert the pot. Now tap the pot gently, and the plant should slide out of the pot without damage to either. If the plant is pot-bound to the extent that roots come out of the central hole, trim these off beforehand.

When re-potting, ALWAYS pot up just one size. Spread the roots before re-potting, and make sure you use new compost.

After 84 days my dill, mint, chives, curly parsley,Italian parsley and thyme are all doing very poorly or not growing after germinatiion. Can i get replacements? Can grown plants be put in pots?

Sure you can transplant to larger pots.
I bet you have over fertilized them! Young plants need minimum nutes till a root system develops. Too much water can drown young roots. Put a clear cover over the tender new plants to slow evaporation & prevent temp & moisture swings.
If too bright sunlight, screen to reduce light.

Should I plant in soil, when they become root bound...cut them back?? Did that with herbs and they died. My cherry tomato plant is flowering, but the base is packed with roots

Depends what you are planting. Most plants should be put in soil when purchased and before they become root bound. However sometimes when you get them, they are crowded in the container. If it's in a soft plastic container, lie it on its side and push down to loosen it. Then gently remove it from the container. Break the roots up at the bottom and loosen the soil there. Score through the roots, from midway to bottom on the 4 sides and gently, slightly separate them to spread them a bit for your hole. Make sure you have a small bump of dirt for that separated part to sit on so there are no big air gaps. Mix a root shock solution in water, and pour into your hole. Once that drains, plant your tomato or flower or whatever, making sure you pack the dirt down around it. Water it with more of the root shock mixture. Put some mulch, about an inch around the top of the plant to keep it from overheating. Water regularly and enjoy.

Why are spider plant leaves turning yellow & browning on tips of leaves

Yellowing leaves and browned tips, although I am not an expert, seem often to indicate over watering but it is reckoned impossible to over water a spider plant due to the origins of the plant which is a sort of a tropical grass used to warm humid conditions of indirect light..
Perhaps it is being under-watered or positioned in direct light. Water it well each time but allow the soil to dry out between waterings and feed occasionally in the growing season. Misting the leaves might help...

How do I moisten it so it is not dry

Depending on how much tobacco you want to re-hydrate, get a terra-cotta pot and break it into pieces and soak a piece (or several pieces) in distilled water. Put the soaked chunk(s) in a plastic zip-lock type bag with your tobacco. Leave it overnight and check the tobacco for moistness.

Be sure to use distilled water and a new pot to start. It might be a good idea to boil the terra-cotta in water for ten minutes or so in order to kill bacteria. Using tap water can introduce bacteria and chemicals (chlorine) into your tobacco. You do not want that.

The terra-cotta will prevent soaking your tobacco with too much water and causing mold.

How to I save phalaenopsis orchids planted in moss, metal container minus drainage holes?save

I have grown Phalaenopsis ochids for very many years,
I have found over the years that it is not necessary to use the bark chips to fill pots I do a mixture of bark chippings and general purpose compost as this is sterilised, and have had some fantastic displays as I have now, they do not like direct sunlight at any time or drafts and extreme heat with a moist air were possible and only need a 2 table spoons of water every month move the plant from the pot and shake all loose bark chips from the root system next cut any dead roots from the plant when, you are happy with that making sure you shake or bump the pot to make sure the media gets in-between the root system do not firm it in place just leave it and as soon as it as sorted it's self out you should have a nice flower stem or two start to appear, it's not necessary to have drainage, I have three or four plants growing in a very fancy shallow bowl and when they all flower at the same time, I have a fantastic display I have about 30 of these orchids plus some very special ones, but remember never ever over water them you will know if you have healthy plans as the leave should be a nice glossy green. they also do like very cool temperature at night but not stream cold.

Good luck
