There are several species of the spider plant (Chlorophytum) and some are more hardy than others. Your problem is too much water or bad drainage if potted.
Your over watering them water them 2x monthly if soil is moist there ok for a few more days
Yellow Spider Plant leaves.
One of the more common reasons you may see yellowing spider plant leaves is cultural. The plant doesn't mind a cramped pot, but you should change the soil annually.
A spider plant with yellow leaves may also be suffering a nutritional deficiency, but if you fertilize and change the soil annually, it is more likely a disease.
Though Spider plants have few disease issues other than rust and root rot, but root rot can be serious. When you see spider plant leaves turning yellow and are an enthusiastic waterer, remove the plant from its container, rinse the roots, cut away any soft or moldy parts and repot in sterile potting medium.
Brown or black tips.
Overwatering is a cause of spider plant leaves turning black or dark brown. The soil should dry out slightly between irrigations. Excess minerals in the tap water can also cause discolored leaves. Use rainwater or distilled water when irrigating spider plants.
Plants can also get yellow leaves if they are moved to a new environment. It is simply a symptom of shock and will clear up once the plant adapts to its new surroundings.
May be to much sun try keeping them shaded for part of the day. Also don't forget to feed + water.
Yellowing leaves and browned tips, although I am not an expert, seem often to indicate over watering but it is reckoned impossible to over water a spider plant due to the origins of the plant which is a sort of a tropical grass used to warm humid conditions of indirect light..
Perhaps it is being under-watered or positioned in direct light. Water it well each time but allow the soil to dry out between waterings and feed occasionally in the growing season. Misting the leaves might help...

Grease will not come from the interior of the washer, as the machine ages build up deposits under the basket and it is oily, greasy and full of mildew. If can get a spanner wrench from a appliance parts house and remove the basket you will see on machines older than three years a build up starting. I pulled 15 lbs from a 25 year old machine and I had to go get sick outside, it was bad.

Check how much you are watering or not watering it. Feed with a mgood fertiliser (sea weed or fish emulsion). Check that the roots are not root bound
