Check your floppy drive and see if there's a disk in it and remove it. If there is no diskette in the floppy drive and you are still getting the error. You can go into the Bios and turn off the "boot from floppy drive", that way it will not look for the floppy drive when booting up. Hope this helps.

You may have a defective Motherboard (BIOS or CMOS chip to be specific). Normally, a non-system disk error can be attributed to a failing hard drive. But since you mentioned that you cannot access the system configuration, that means your BIOS is not able to see your bootable device anymore. this usually happens when the computer is trying to boot from a disk that isn't a valid boot disk.

if you have a floppy drive plugged into the multibay and a floppy in the drive, try removing the floppy.
if there is no floppy involved, try to boot from your system recovery disks, as it's likely that the boot record on the hard drive will need repaired. your system recovery disks should walk you through the process.

First - re-seat the harddisk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot andgo into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If itdoesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty.Then the hard drive needsto be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer orlaptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioningcomputer/laptop again.
