Wow, unplug and look for a new one. The cracking and popping is usually signs of something cooking the wrong way inside. You might lok to see if something is inside that ought not be inside. A good inspection while it\'s unplugged is also good in checking what is actually broke. 9/10 times it\'s wiser and more cost efficient to just buy a new one. cut the cord off the old cord and properly dispose of it.

Duraflame Heaters won't blow?

Question edited for clarity and translated into written English :>D
Question recategorized from Laundry Dryers to a Duraflame one.

It could be the blower.
It could be the thermostat.
It could be the element.

It needs testing by an appliance electrician. If you have a multimeter and the skill, you could do preliminary testing yourself.

Also, they make many models of heater. You could Google

Duraflame (model) no heat no fan.

'Dura Flame' all one word, I corrected that too.

Heater and aircon not working, loud rattling noise and smoke from vent, now not power to fan

It appears your fan itself burned out. When a field coil of an electrical fan burns out it usually makes a lot of smoke. The noise could be something that fell in there that stopped the fan from turning freely. I can imagine it heated up under the strain and burned out.

When you restarted it was burnt out so hence no noise and no fan.
The smell of the smoke should also be clue. Electrical field coils burning has an awful soury type of smell.

Poping, smoking electric Lasko 5540 heater

It depends on where the smoke is coming from. If it's from the heating elements, it's normal as dust and residue burn off. If it is coming from the control section, it's bad and the heater should not be used.
