This indicates signal loss and the causes are many. Check connections, make sure they are tight, the cable is not severely bent. Those are the easiest causes some more complex are faild diplexers, ground blocks, lnb or cabling. Two more easy possible causes are dish misalignment due to wind, being moved, hit or bumped. Foilage blocking the Line of Sight to the satellite in space or the fact that the receiver was moved from its original location last known to be working. The least likely but possible is a faulty receiver. Have a tech solve this for you on site.

the boards (one for each of 3 colors) are about $130ea if purchased new.
a good TV repair tech can diagnose the board that is faulty and only replace the failed part(s).
Labor rates are different in every part of the country.
$45/hr here in Michigan.
To disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, and re-assemble is approximately 3 hours work.
Depending on the problem found - you may squeak out with a bill under $300 (worst case).
Not much more - and you can have a HD LCD 49".

a satellite receiver has its own coloring components inside it, if mixtures are not mixing properly. try that satellite receiver with differant tv. some with the tv,
Hi, I`m assuming your saying the letters on the screen have different colors (red, blue, or green) shifted to the left or right?
If so try going into the menu and adjusting your "convergence"
adjustments, basically, move the red onto the green then move the blue onto the green and the bar turns white, if one or more of the colors doesn`t adjust either up/down or left/right then the convergence IC`s have failed, this will require removal of the board and unsoldering the old IC`s and installing and soldering in the new IC`s, questions? e-mail me back, BMW Rider
You can try eliminating whethor or not the receiver is actually the problem by moving it to another TV and seeing if it works on one that isn't having any problems. Or moving a working receiver onto the TV to see if it will pick up signal with a working receiver. If you don't have any receivers in your house working, then odds are something needs to be serviced outside your home, like the Dish and/or LNB.
Did DirecTV actually come out to the home and troubleshoot at the site? If not, they would have no way of knowing if it's the TV or Satellite that's causing the issue.
you'll need to replace bad capacitors on the vertical circuit stage , no expensive but you need the basic knowledge, and the tools to do it your self , if not . you need a tech
depend on the tech 60 to 80 dls a shop 125
they gona get worse to dead circuit, a small capacitor (problably in the neck board) is bothering you, get a tech now that he can see the problem, gonna be cheaper now....good luck
ps some times the picture say to the tech was going on
When you say click Is it a POP out of the speakers?? If the answer is yes then it sounds like a semicondutor such as an IC or driver transistor or preamp is breaking down . You also didnt state if its out of one speaker or both at once. Unless your a tech this is probably something you wont be able to troubleshoot and fix yourself as there are no user serviceable parts in this puppy. Good luck
