As long as you don't put in any memory card, where the camera can put its pictures, it will say write protected.
If you did put in a memory card the wrong way around you also can have damaged the little switch in the memory card holder, so it always thinks the switch is engaged. Please put in a correct card, with the lock switch up. Not pointing to the lock position and check if that will work.

in this case Im sorry to inform you that will not be any data available on that card cause it should have been formatted before use...or ..it is damaged thats why it is not reads on it ...but a thing to try is to see if it is not locked on the side button ..for securing data ..at least after unlocking you can format it ..and use it ...
also see that it needs to be formated in FAT32 ..for to be usable in the camera

I have removed the card. There is a small notch in one side of the card, but there is no sliding switch.
I have never removed it before.
Could there be another problem? Is it easy to buy these
cards now ? I dont have much money.......
