SOURCE: Unit wouldn't recognise the transducer. CS told me

It is hard to say. If you know someone that has a unit simular to yours just slide it on to there mounting system and then you will be able to tell if it is the unit or the transducer.

How to fix freezer from icing up on back panel

Faulty defrost I suspect. Could be thermo sensing transducer . Hard to fix as you need to almost defrost fridge before repair man arrives so he can test this transducer works properly when it is cold.

Ice building up on back of fridge

could be a faulty transducer. In the freezer a device called a transducer reports the temperature is too cold to the defrosting cycle. The defrosting cycle should then kick in and a heater at the bottom of the fridge evaporates the water. If the transducer is faulty the defrost doesn't happen and ice builds up on the back of the freezer and migrates down the fridge.
Unfortunately on one of my fridges a major part was faulty which caused the fridge to freeze the food and I had to buy a new fridge as it was beyond ecconomical repair according to the appliance repair man.
I hope for you it is just a tranducer but you may need to turn off the fridge and melt the ice so the appliance man can test it. Advise asking appliance repair company if the turning off is required and how much ice they need to have to test the transducer before they come out and look at your fridge.

I am trying to get an iceducer for my LMS522C. Do they exist or can you adapt a different one to fit?

You should be able to use most any normal water transducer that that will work on that unit. The key issue is that it needs to be 'fluid coupled' to the ice. Just create a small puddle on the ice where you want to see thru and it should work fine. You might coat the transducer base with a thin film of silicone grease to prevent freeze sticking it to the ice. A small gas torch might simplify creating the puddles.

Water temp way off. where is the temp thermister located to replace it

Your water temp is measured by your transducer. There is a slight possibility that the transducer is OK and it is that the DSM25 is not relaying the TEMP info to the A65 display. Your best bet is to either try and find another DSM25 (friend or dealer) that you could try and plug in with your system. If the problem is still there, it is your transducer. If the problem goes away, then you would have to send in your DSM25 to the repair center to have it repaired. I believe the going rate for the DSM25 is $175 for a complete rebuild.

MY RAYMARINE A65 CHART PLOTTER/ FISHFINDER HAS NOT BEEN WORKING , THE CHARTPLOTTER WORKS FINE , BUT THE FISH FINDER WONT PULL UP BOTTOM OR ANYTHING . I LOOKED AT THE LITTLE BOX THAT CONNECTS TO THE...

Likely your DSM25 (that little box that connects the transducer to the display) will need to be rebuilt. The red LED is saying that there is an internal fault with the unit. You would need to send the unit in for repair through Raymarine (as there really is not anyone else who can do it), and they would have to replace the main circuit card in the box. I believe that they are charging either $150 or $175 to repair those now... but likely the only way you will get that one to work again.

My marine speed transducer needs to be replaced. I have a Beneteua 351 which is 16 years old. I have cleaned the transducer several times and then reinstalled. It will work for a couple of minutes and then...

Yes. You need to make sure you get the same transducer though. With you system being that old, you may have a transducer that is old where there is not a direct replacement. You need to make sure you get the correct transducer. You may need to get a "flapper" kit to update your housing to the new style.

Sonar does not appear to work - not picking up depths or bottom structure. All other functions look good.

This problem is most likely linked with your transducer.

1. Check your transducer cable and make sure the plug terminals are clean, as well as the plug on the back of the unit.
2. Make sure the transducer cable is plugged in correctly and securely.
3. Make sure the transducer is in the water and mounted according to the directions, parallel to the bottom of the boat
4. Turn the unit on while the boat is in the water, but with the engine OFF.

IF it works when the engine is off, but vanishes when the engine is on, you may be having electrical interference.

IF it works when the engine is running, but vanishes when the boat is moving, it is a turbulence problem. Move the transducer.

IF it does not work at all, try borrowing a new or a "known good" transducer and seeing if it works then. If so, replace the transducer.

Let us know if these work or now.
