I don't remember my admin password - Computers & Internet

There are many tricks to reset Windows login password but these tricks depend upon the Operating System and availability of resources (such as password reset disk, bootable disc, access to admin account or user account). So kindly give me more details about OS and resources available to you?

If Windows try logging as Administrator. Select safe mode if you don't see Admin. Hit enter without password if your lucky.

As the computer is turning on, keep pressing the f8 button until a menu appears. Select the "safe mode with command prompt"

net user (user name here) (new password here)
fill the information in brackets yourself as I don't know this info.
e.g. to change a password on an account called "admin" to "open" I'd write this.
net user admin open

I forgot windows 7 laptop password, i just reset windows 7 password by the following steps,
Step1: Download Smartkey Windows Password Recovery Professional from http://www.recoverlostpassword.com/products/windowspasswordrecovery.html.
Step2: Install and launch it to any accessible computer.
Step3: Use a blank and writable CD/DVD/USB to burn Windows 7 password reset disk with the tool.
Step4: Boot the locked computer from CD/DVD/USB.
Step5: Start to remove Windows 7 password with the burned disk.
Step6: Reboot computer and login to the locked PC without password.

You don't need the disk. You should be able to log-in to the web interface of the router at this URL: http://192.168.0.1/

If you don't remember the password, you'll have to reset the router to factory defaults and then log-in with password "admin".

Your default password is listed on the bottom of your router. turn it over and find your wep or s/n number listed on it and thats your password.

Try this, type http://192.168.0.1 into your browser again and load the page up. When the box pops up asking for user name and password type in the user name box admin
In the password box type password and see if you can log in.

If you still can't get in please post the make and model of the router.

If you forgot your password you need to reset the router, just remember that you need to reconfigure the router from scratch if you do reset it.

Here is how you reset the router:

. Turn off the router 2. Locate the Reset button on the back of the router.
3. Use a paper clip to press the Reset button and power on.
4. Hold for about 5 seconds (don’t hold too long) and then release. (Or, release when M1 and M2 flash at the same time.)
5. After you have completed the above steps, the router will be reset to the factory default settings


Now you just need to log on to the router using the default admin password and username(Usually username:Admin Pasword:Admin ) and reconfigure the router and set new password.
