apple doesnt let you sync to multiple computers either transfer your music / itunes account to your laptop and than sync or use software like ipod rip to move the music from your ipod to your computer
Make sure "Sync Music" option is checked in Music Tab on the Summary Page.
Connect you ipod and open itunes. On the left hand column of itunes, highlight the ipod's name under Devices.
Then on the right you'll be on the page where you see some options like Summary, Applications, Music etc.
Click on Music and make sure Sync Music option is checked and then click on Sync at the bottom.
In most cases, that fix the issue, otherwise call AppleCare at 1800-275-2273
Hope that answers the question
For the rest of your iPod music, you will need to use a program like TouchCopy to copy your iPod content onto your computer or straight to your new iTunes. TouchCopy lets you copy all your music, video, photos, contacts, notes, calendars, games and more from your iPod.
To copy your iPod music using TouchCopy, you will need to... 1. Download and install TouchCopy on your computer. TouchCopy works with all iPod types and the iPhone. There are free PC and Mac downloads available from here http://www.wideanglesoftware.com/touchcopy/
2. Ensure that iTunes is closed before connecting your iPod. Then start TouchCopy and connect your iPod. TouchCopy will have fixed your iTunes preferences so that iTunes will not sync music or video with your iPod while TouchCopy is running. These changes are restored when you quit TouchCopy.
3. Use TouchCopy to copy all your iPod content to your computer hard drive or straight into iTunes.
4. You can then use iTunes to re-sync your iPod, which will re-load your iPod with all your music and let you add new content to it too.
Your music should be in itunes already, it it isn't wide angle software can help. Just sync your touch to your computer. Google touch copy if it isnt in itunes.
reinstall itunes and ipod software onto the computer. This will reset the settings back to default. youll also have to restore your itouch. I have an itouch as well and thats happened to me before. I restored it and reinstalled everything and it worked.
Try just clicking and dragging the playlist onto the ipod which will get the songs on there for you. When you do sync, I do not think it transfers playlist automatically. You have to do it yourself.
Update firmware defaults your ipod/touch to sync-mode. Double check the sync settings "Devices" => your_ipod => "Summary" => "Options" => [_]"Manually manage music and videos"
Will not bring your music files back, but it's a start.
