Sounds like they want you to hold down keys 1 and 6 at the same time and then enter the code. Can't hurt to try.

If you turn key on, with radio off, then hold preset buttons 1 and 6 in at the same time, then turn the radio on, it will show you the radio serial # going from the 1st 4 to the 2nd 4. A dealer can then give you the code. If you are the owner, You can also register with Honda online and find it there.

Push 1 and 6 push bouton and than radio on write the two code that will appear, tell the part guy at Honda dealer your code you find, he give you the code to unlock your radio, enter the code with pushbouton Please note code for next time you disconnect the battery

if you havent moved the ignition plate etc then remove cam belt and put top piston to tdc and the cam pully to tdc ( mark on head ) refit belt and rotate engine by hand to check nothing catching then try !

Make sure oil is at proper level as spark is cut off when oil is below level for "x "amount of time.

A cold reset resets the values of permanent storage variables to factory default. Often this is necessary

To perform a cold reset
1. Turn off the digital sender.
2. Turn on the digital sender.
3. Immediately after turning on the device, press and hold down the #6 key (do not wait for the memory-count). When the three status LEDs are illuminated, release the #6 key.
4. Press the #3 key four times until the display shows COLD RESET.
5. Press the #6 key once to initiate the cold reset. The product will continue its boot-up sequence.

try taking the radio out and looking on the top for the parts number. call Honda and tell them what is going on and they will give you a 4 digit code that will reset the radio. i had the same problem with my 05 civic, did that and it worked for me.

1. ensure ignition off
2 . bridge the 2 pin connector, Put a piece of wire across both terminals
3.switch ignition on
4. SRS lamp should illuminate for 6 seconds
5.disconnect the bridge wire within 4 seconds of the warning lamp extinguishing
6.SRS lamp should illuminate 2 times, Codes erased
7.switch ignition off
8 Wait 10 seconds. switch ignition on and check SRS warning lamp operation.

turn the key off, then hold the odometer reset button in, turn key on and keep holding, the light will flash off then on once, keep holding until light stays out, start car and all should be ok
