SOURCE: deleting text messages
Ok, here is what you do to delete your messages in the inbox:
1. First you press your messages button where they are located
2. Now scroll down to where it says Inbox and make sure it is highlighted
3. Next press the button that looks like two pieces of papers one on top of the other...it is next to the OK button in the middle but on the left side.
4. Next you will see something that says Setup...press OK
5. Scroll down to where it says Cleanup press OK and you will see Inbox and Sent Items on there. Choose your Inbox ( you can also do the same for sent items)
6. Now just choose how often or how many messages you want cleaned up...then press the OK button.
7. It will automatically ask you if you want to do this now...choose yes
Now your inbox has fewer or no messages...
Have a blessed Day!
SOURCE: message memory full
hi what the phone is saying is its capable of holding 500 message but in reality this means if you have enough free memory your phone can store 500 messages so what you need to do is delete all the sent/outbox/inbox/drafts message delete all the ones you dont need.
Also delete any pictures you dont need as these take up loads of mem also delete any ringtones that your never going to use as alot of the messages you got free with the phone you never use so make sure you delete any of these that your sure you dont want as these also take up loads of memory once you have done this you should find your phone will work just fine

if this happened from the beginning after purchasing your phone, it would help you if you bring it back to your phone dealer mostly if it's still under warranty.
but if this issue just comes up now, and you didn't encounter this issue before, it is a network provider problem.
however, since you are the phone owner, you may want to restore it to its factory settings and check,
here is the code for it but let me remind you that you will lose all your settings once you decided to hard reset it. so you need to back up your files first once you decide to restore it.
1. switch off phone
2. remove battery, sim and sd card
3. reinsert battery and switch the phone on
4. on your keypad, type the code *2767*3855#
5. after successful hard reset, reinsert everything again,
6. try sending a txt message to your own number and observe.
take care.
