Most likely the screen has permenant damage and is unfixable. if the cable connected to the screen inside the phone was loosened, then you could attempt to fix it by opening up the device and reinsterting the cable, but doing this will void your warrenty.

For the last week my TV has been going to a black screen for 10 seconds or so then the picture returns. It has been continual. Last night it stopped going to black screen, but now the standby light flashes 5 consecutive times and the color went haywire. A lot of red and everything that is suppose to be black is green.
I did a soft and hard reset with no success. What's wrong and is it worth fixing? Bought new in November 2002.

Jar-Head, bad news, the picture tube has a mild short in the green cathode, tech can come out and try to restore it but it`s usually a futile attempt on sony tubes, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, BMW Rider
It has a problem in the vertical sweep circuit that puts a nonlinearity
in its output and you see the glitch in the normally gradual sweep as a
line. Since a hit upside the set seems to help, you should just
resolder the whole vertical circuit area (doesn't take long) and see if
that cures it. If not, start replacing the electrolytic
capacitors in that area.
Hope Ya Fix It!
