My MV830 would load without a cassette; but freeze, beep 3 times and eject if a cassette was inserted. I read the following thread with a great deal of scepticism and concern that I would damage my MV830 camcorder even more; but what did I have to lose? I loaded the compartment without a cassette, hit it firmly 3 times on the tape loading side and the issue was gone. It now works perfectly! Technology is fantastic... http://www.fixya.com/support/t238707-will_not_load_tape
You may try the following troubleshooting steps: Remove the battery of the Camcorder for one minute and re-insert the battery to check whether it works. You may try resetting the Camcorder by pressing the RESET button located on it. You may also check whether the issue occurs for all the tapes. If the issue occurs with all the Tapes then it seems that internal parts of the Camcorder are malfunctioning. Hence, the Camcorder requires service.
try it without inserting cassette if it closes correctly and doesnt load with cassette then 99% problem is with drum motor.look out for drum motor connector remove it clean it with pencil eraser and try again if it works, fine or just replace drum motor
my opinion ,that it look like a defective cass in switch
or a mechanism alignement defective ,because the servo control chips do not receive the mechanism pulse
information to start the loading cassette process....
it something there....
HI, this is a mechanism fault beep you are hearing. the mechanism and load motor is damaged. you will need to send this unit to the Handy cam repair depot for this repair. you will need a new load motor and loading dock mechanism as well.
