SOURCE: pioneer xv htd520 won't play dvds

This is a common problem for this model. It has a memory IC that must be replaced. This is a surface mounted IC that requires exceptional soldering skills to replace. I work at an authorized Pioneer service center and have repaired a good number of these for this exact problem. Unless you have great soldering skills it is not something that should be attempted to do yourself, it can cause permanent damage to the board if not done perfectly.

If you have the proper skills and soldering equipment I will be happy to give you the Pioneer part number so you can replace it yourself. If not, then you really should just take it to a service center and have a professional do this.

Let me know if you would like that part number.

SOURCE: when sony blu-ray plays, lg 52lg70 tv power turns off and on

Try using a different HDMI cable; one that is not simplay or 1.3.
The HDMI can control functions of the TV.
If you get a cheaper cable it may not do this.

How do I connect a dvd player with surround sound?

This depends on how you have it hooked up. You're going to need a Tuner. A simple method is to connect only the Yellow RCA cable (or composite cables) to your T.V. Then connect Red and White RCA cables to the Tuner/Surround sound system you're using on which ever input you're comfortable with. I.E. CD/AUX/TAPE..etc. Change your tuner to that input, and you should get your surround sound through the speakers. Make sure you change the input on your T.V. to what ever video source you got the wires in. If your tuner allows you to hook up a video source to it, you can just hook it up to the tuner and run the DVD player off the tuner only. The first option helps avoid confusion if your tuner isn't set up for any other devices to play video through it.

I have a pioneer xv-htd330 and the timer light just blinks what can i do

I had the same problem, it would be on watching TV and the volume would change and it would shut off, check ALL the speaker wires that go into the back, pull them all out (1 at a time) re-twist them and insert back into the slots

That should fix it..Good luck

I have no sound through my surround sound when playing ps3

The optical audio out from the TV only works for the TV's tuner, probably. Hook-up optical from Cable/SAT and from PS3 boxes to DVD/Receiver.

My speakers arn't working with my new t.v.

Any sound from other sources ie. a CD/DVD unit, Tuner etc.? If so then the issue is the signal path fron the TV to receiver, What cableing do you have from TV audio output? Try standard analog 2 channel to the receiver tv in, be sure you select TV on the receiver mode, also check the TV sound menu options, some require that you disable TV speakers and use the audio line-out option fixed or variable.

Pip and pop

It sounds like your other TV had 2 tuners which allowed you to watch 2 programs at the same time. You can still watch two programs, but the second one will have to come from a second source. See below for the possible combinations that the PIP/POP feature can be used by this TV.
