How do I wire up a A.O. Smith 3/4hp PB4 Booster Pump (part O-173840-23) 230/115V motor. The lug plate fell apart and I am trying to directly wire the 230V external lines (Red, Black) and Ground (Green) to the internal wires Yellow-Black, Brown, Black, Orange, White, and Yellow for 230V operation. The diagram on the side of the motor shows the following colored wires connected to lug number and external wires: Yellow-Black to 1 to Line (External Black), Brown to 3 (I just covered with a wiring nut), black to 4 (I just covered to a wiring nut), orange & white to 6 (I wired orange and white together with a wiring nut), and yellow to ? to Line (I wired to external Red). My external Red and Black wires are hot at 230V, and Green is ground. Is this correct? I am not sure if the internal brown, black, orange and white wires are supposed to connect to the external wires in any way.
Here's some more info diagrams for you http://www.electricmotorwarehouse.com/aosmith/AO_CONNECT.PDF L1 is one hot wire L2 is the other hot wire. L1 can not be connected to a L2 wire and L2 can not be connected to a L1. Ground only to ground.
Found the wire plate for it L1 will be one hot wire to Yellow with black strip. then Brown capped off and black capped off. Orange wire and white wire connected. Yellow to L2 hot wire. imaged used fromhttp://www.inyopools.com/images/Century%...
I also see that that motor will only rotate one direction, meaning it can not be wired to turn in CCW.

I am not sure what you mean by "center wire". For 230V single phase you should have 2 hot line leads (115V each) and a ground wire. Set the motor leads as the nameplate shows for the high voltage connection and attach your line leads where the two lines are indicated. If you have a 3+Grd wire drop DO NOT connect the neutral, insulate it and leave it unconnected. It will not matter which line lead connects to which motor line wire as far as rotation direction. To change rotation, if the motor allows it, you reverse the start winding leads as directed on your nameplate.
