Unit will not turn on from standby

Main power switch is on and the RED LED is lit meaning it's in standby but when i go to turn the tv on the RED LED will turn off then come back on and the tv is not on. Normally when i turn the tv on the RED LED will turn off and a BLUE LED will turn on. I tried unplugging the tv for acouple of minutes and then plugging it back in but no luck. Any help is welcome.

I have this same issue where you try to turn on the TV but it never leaves the stand by mode. The tv clicks and clicks and then goes back to the stand by mode.

Before I had a problem with the digital board but the tv actually went to the blue light wich means it tried to power up. when I had this issue i sa red yellow led lights flashing. Took it in and had the pro's take care of it. Can anyone help with the my original issue where the red light stays on and you hear clicking noises as if the tv isn't getting enough power?

I had a similar problem and it was caused by my cable box being in scart 1 as soon as I changed over to scart 2 the problems went away,

Sorry not familiar with this make set so I can't tell you what the blink code means. You've got standby voltage if you're getting a standby light, next thing to check is command to take power board from sleep mode to turn on the TV, if that looks ok test power supply voltages, if not good replace power board, if they look good then look at the main

Red light means that the unit is in standby mode, It has power but is not turned on.

Panasonic TH 42PA25. Front power switch LED is solid red. SC Board LED (D6583) is not lit. SS Board LED (D6765) is not lit. However, SS Board LED D6769 is lit. I suspect PA or P board.

The TV is on standby mode due to protection; some error in the board. If you have spare boards, try replacing it one by one, starting from display board.

Panasonic PTL500U LCD HiDef projector. Unit occasionally powered up briefly, lamp lit, then shut down, standby LED flashed orange/red. Sometimes lamp lit and sometimes not. Technician diagnosed bad ballast...

If you take the back off you might find a couple of bulged electrolytic caps on the power supply board that need change, or just buy a new power supply at www.partstore.com

The remote control will not operate the TV when the TV is in the OFF mode (No LED lit on front bezel). To change the mode from OFF to STANDBY or ON, press the POWER button on the side of the TV. Once the POWER button is pressed, the LED will change to either red to indicate STANDBY or green to indicate ON, whichever mode the TV was in prior to being turned off with the TV POWER button.

By pressing the POWER button on the side of the TV, the mode will toggle from OFF to either STANDBY or ON. If the POWER button is pressed and then the LED on the bezel is red, the TV is in STANDBY mode and will need to be turned on using the remote control. If the POWER button is pressed and then the LED on the bezel is green, the TV is ON.

Orange Led syndrom

I found the following solution on internet:
VIEWPIA LCD
Make: Viewpia
Model: LC-32IEB2
Fault: Unit held down with only orange LED lit
Remedy: Remove the main metal screen cover from main board and check the input
voltage on to the main 3.3Volt regulator IC202 it should be bang on more or less
5Volts, if not replace capacitors C905 330uf 10v C908 470uf 10v both are to be
found in the main power supply section.

Will not stay on

RED light is protect circuit = do not disable !
Look for C702 near flyback transformer - might be hidden in
glue = check it = if shorted, replace 102K / 2KV with 3KV =
Sony part # 1-161-754-00 and replace E994 pico fuse.....T.
