When i turn on my printer the light bar will not find the home position and make a grinding noise and i cant use the printer

from the question I understand, the scanner move to right and during return it starts noise.

The problem with scanner assembly, It might be dust accumulated on gears, the scanner belt might have loose or the grips of the belt has worn out. Proper cleaning and lubricating the moving parts may overcome also if the belt worn out it has to be replaced.
In case of at home position it gives noise then the home position sensor may dirty/dusty, it has to be cleaned.

Hello, Maybe there is something stuck in the paper feeder roller gear causing it to grind and make that clicking noise.

There is probably a problem with the position of the cartridge carriage. Try reinstalling the cartridge and make sure that the carriage is in the center of the cartridge access area and the center of the cartridge assembly bar. If it is not try moving the cartridge assembly in either direction and restore the printer for printing. Note any sounds as the cartridge attempts to go to its home position. Any grinding noise may indicate that the position of the cartridge needs to be adjusted. Be patient and adjust the cartridge position again until no grinding sounds are heard. It may help to unplug the printer for 30 seconds between adjustments. Good Luck!

Try reinstalling the cartridge. Also listen carefully to the cartridge assembly movement. If you hear any grinding type noises your cartridge is reaching the proper home position. This will cause a cartridge error. If there is any grinding noise you may be in for a long task of realigning your cartridge position to its proper spot. Make sure that the position of the assembly is dead center when you reinstall the cartridge. If it is not move it the center as a starting point. Keep at this moving the assembly in either direction until you no longer hear grinding as the assembly attempts to find its home position. Good luck! Be patient. It may also help to completely unplug the printer for 30 seconds between adjustment attempts.

check the transport belt for the carriage and make sure the drive gear doesnt have a build up of rubber as the belt may be worn when going to home position.

You will need a torx driver and or phillips to take it apart. Just common sense and patience will get that accomplished. What you want to do then is find the cables that run from the scanner to the circuit boards, disconnect them and reconnect them. Ribbon cables need to be gently removed and be sure when replacing them you don't get any folds in them.
If the that doesn't work, then most likely the board or scan motor have failed. You may also want to look in the scanner and see if the home position sensor, which would be a U shaped sensor has popped out. The clicking is from the scan head trying to find the home ( start) position sensor and not finding it. When it works correctly it drives back until a little flag passes between the light and the photo sensor within that home sensor. Once the light is broken the scan motor shuts off and positions the lamp properly.

Check flatcable connection to main circuit board:

Open cover and release the "Z" cover (right side) which hides the flatcable. Simply stick the cable to mainboard.

Problem The Resume light continues to blink after the paper jam is cleared.

The carriage is stuck or making a grinding noise. Solution 1. Lift the top cover to the printer. 2. Turn the printer off and then on again. 3. Unplug the power cable from the back of the printer when the grinding noise starts. 4. Move the carriage towards the middle of the printer (this procedure may take a couple of tries to get the timing correct). 5. Take out the cartridges and close the top cover. Turn the printer back on! 6. Reconnect the power cord. 7. Open the top cover, reinstall the cartridges, and then close the top cover

sounds like print head is not engaging home switch or sensor. open the printer and look for any such switch to sense print head at home position.
