Bobbin thread wont form a stitch

The bobbin thread gets caught and pulled up by the needle, but then doesn't connect with upper thread to form a stitch - with the result being only upper thread that tangles under the work. Please help!

There has to be a problem in your threading or your needle. You may have the needle inserted backwards, flat side has to face rear or the needle is bent. Totally unthread your machine and make sure that there are no tangles and that it feeding the right way. Watch how they show your for threading and winding the bobbin, plus threading the bobbin. Good luck, but I truly think it is in your threading.

Wont sew thread keeps coming out of needle
Pull at least 6" of thread through the needle's eye and gently holding both thread tails gently when beginning to sew. Might try installing a brand new needle--make sure it is installed correctly. Raise the presser foot BEFORE threading the upper thread.

Pull bobbin thread to the top of the fabric before taking the first stitch.

SINGER MODEL 3130 WILL NOT STITCH CORRECTLY
Have you tried cleaning and oiling your sewing machine.Sometimes old thread gets caught up under the pressure foot near bobbin if not cleaned out the bottom teeth that pull material through will not move bobbin thread up to be caught by needle thread. P.S. Are you sure your using the right needle for the machine? To short of a needle will also cause this problem

Upper thread get s caught under the needle plate when free motion quilting. Forms a loop and the fabric can't move.
change the needle

My problem is between the needle and the bobbin. The tread continues to get caught just below the needle- inside of the machine. The bobbin seems to be lifting up and thread gets caught beneath the needle
Hi. So is this a horizontal hook? Where is the thread getting caught beneath the needle? Maybe on the hook? Check your upper threading to make sure the thread passes through the thread take-up lever. If thread is not through the lever, it wont get pulled up , which can lead to multiple thread loops getting caught on the hook, not pulling off after the rotation.

You need to sew the first stitch slowly. Lower the needle by hand and take up carefully. Pull the needle thread up and the bobbin thread should be caught in the formed loop and come with it. Pull them both to the back of the machine and sew.
