I am looking for a complete owners manual for my Sony LBT D560 stereo player

Owner Manual isn't found, as there is a car stereo with a similar number. A standalone Cassette deck only supplies a data signal, so you need and amp.

The cassette dismantle is on page 9. from what I see there is a plate that covers access to the belts, that is if Your lucky! the plate is shown in the first picture on page 9, sorry I have worked on other brands, and some of them You have to do a lot of dismantling to even get to belts! If you want to be fancy, a company called ION makes a cassette player that plugs into a USB port on your computer. You can look at it here. The unit comes with software to capture the audio as you play your tapes.

You can also connect the tape player you already have to your computer's line-in audio jack. You'll need a cable with a 1/8-inch mini stereo plug at one end to fit the computer, and the appropriate plug(s) at the other end for the cassette player. If you use a boombox or other portable deck, the cable will need the same mini stereo plug and you can use the headphone jack. For a component cassette deck you'll need RCA plugs. Download and install Audacity, which is free software for recording and editing sound. With Audacity, you have tools to process the sound after it's in your computer to split tracks, add effects if you want, and to try cleaning up hiss or other quality problems. It's a great way to preserve tapes with voices of family members!
