SOURCE: Loud cracking sound, and now, nothing

Hopefully its only the lamp. Inspect lamp for breakage. Lamp power supply ok??. Check any air vents (filters if any) before replacing. Lamp life is only a few thousand hours, easy to do in a year, 5-6hrs a day. Check your manual.

My 2000 Honda Odyssey (240k) made a loud clank noise when I went slowly over a speed bump. Now, when I turn the wheel-- either driving slowly or in park-- I hear and feel two or three rubbing or snapping...

The Hondas do have at the back suspension arms which are holding the wheels,Big suspension bushing, which when they snap off or cracked, are causing clank noises because are not holding enough the rear axle. on the other hand the vehicle loose the tracking as a result to cause wear and tear of the rear tires as well. Ask from your local mechanic to examine your car.

Makes loud noise

It sounds like one of your CV (constant-velocity) joints is going bad. This is common on front wheel drive vehicles. The CV joint allows the drive axle to pivot as you turn the wheels. Over time the protective boots crack, the grease leaks out and you end up with the knocking noise you describe when turning while accelerating. The dealership should easily be able to inspect the CV joint boot and diagnose the CV joint.

Our Panasonic 50" TH 42PX75U

well it sounds like something fried inside the tv. In my experience, this sounds like your y-sustain board went bad. it could be your video board also. considering todays value of the 50" panasonic plasma, it will be cheaper to replace it, unless you are willing to spend around $300 to get it fix at a shop.
good luck

Loud whirring noise in my Samsung dlp rear projection tv. HL-M507wx/xxa. Is this the color wheel or cooling fan? can I replace myself? I changed the lamp and that was pretty easy.

fan is easy to replace, color wheel will require a technician.you can remove lower back cover and see the fan but i'm guessing it's the color wheel.
