Hoover HNL7166 delay light flashing 5 times every 10 secs

Hi, my Hoover HNL7166 first would not wash and was flashing the delay light 3 times every 10secs, so we cleaned the filter, started it again and after a couple of minutes it stopped again and now it flashes 5 times every 10secs. Can anyone help?

It appears your timer/main controller/CCU has failed in this instance.

For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...

FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.

PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.

If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.

If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

Thanks for using FixYa - a 4 THUMBS rating is appreciated for answering your FREE question

Hoover nextra 5 flashes on delay timer,,,,Be safe!!!!!! turn the power off before you read on and attempt this at home After doing some investigating of my own I opened the back panel and I found the fault to be two yellow cables fixed to what looks like the water temperature sensor which is fixed to the back bottom of the drum, one of the cables was hanging out of its clip I touched the other one and that fell out,,,simple fix, respliced the cables popped them back into the clips for a good tight fit I used electrical tape and also for a tidy finish, the machine is now working perfect, hoe this helps it helped me !!!!be safe!!!!

Hi my Hoover Nextra 6 (HNL7146) is stopping mid cycle and the start light and delay start light are flashing 3 times every minute or so and the door will not open and door locked light remains illuminated....

the lights indicated a blockade, remove the front panel at the bottom to reveal a drain plug, the blockage is most likely at the back of the drain plug as the drain motor impeler sits directly behind the plug.

Need to make entry time longer . I am able to delete option 10 but can't add option 10. Entry is only 5 sec.

Here is instructions from Installation Manual. I am also attaching links to full Installation as well as User Manuals for your reference at the bottom of page. Make certain to input as 3 digit time - example 45 seconds as 045. Good luck!

Option 10: Entry Delay (Default = 030 sec.)
Determines how much time the user has to disarm the system
after entering the armed premises through a designated delay
door, before an alarm occurs. Beeps sound during the entire
delay time to remind the user to disarm the system.
When turned on, the Entry Delay can be set from 005-254
seconds (030-254 if SIA Limits Option 69 is on). All entries
must be 3 digits. When turned off, the Entry Delay is set to
005 seconds.
Note
For UL listed systems, the entry delay must not exceed 45 seconds.
 To set Entry Delay, press:
1. Add
2. Option #
3. 10
4. Use the numbered keys to enter the 3-digit delay
time.
5. DONE
To turn off Entry Delay, press:
1. Delete
2. Option #
3. 10
4. DONE

Hoover HNL7166 'Start Delay' light flashing

Hoover (Nextra series) washing machines

The 'Start' & 'Pause' LED's will flash together to indicate the error code. You have to count the flashes within each 15 second period to get that error code. The start and the pause LED's will flash together at 1Hz (i.e 1 flash per second) within that 15 second time frame, then will continue and show again within another 15secs and so on.

1 Flash = Interlock fault
2 Flashes = Fill time-out
3 flashes = Drain time-out
4 flashes = Overfill fault presure pipe blocked
5 flashes = NTC error
6 flashes = faulty control board
7 flashes = Motor jammed
8 flashes = Tacho fault
9 flashes = Motor triac on module board
10 flashes = Prog Selector or wiring fault

Indesit wm12x wont finish cycle just clix through dial, can u help me ?

i suspect that you may not be draining water,if you watch the light flash it will flash at 1 sec interviles it will then stop for approx 3 secs and then start flashing again at 1 sec int,if you wait for it to stop for aprox 3 secs.when it start flashing again count how many flashes til it stops again for the 3 sec, thats is your fault code,if it is 10 or 5,then its will be your pump blocked or inop.

Program don't start, flashing ligths (start and "delay start" button) for 5 times.

What does the error code mean do you have any idea Is it mentioned in the Hand book. At any rate logic suggests a watewr supply problem that the first thing a washing machine needs - water. So a tap not turned on a Kinked hose An inlet valve solenoid failure- Three things for you to check
