My Hoover washing machine stops working about 10 seconds into any cycle. The Start and Start Delay buttons then flash together 10 times, there is a pause and they then flash together 5 times, a pause and flashing 5 times, and this continues. I've checked the filter and the pipes and can't see any issue there. The Hoover website is next to useless, the phone line had me answering automated questions for 5 minutes before informing me no-one was available to take my call, and the manual gives no clue. Can anyone help?
The 'Start' & 'Pause' LED's will flash together to indicate the
error code. You have to count the flashes within each 15 second period
to get that error code. The start and the pause LED's will flash
together at 1Hz (i.e 1 flash per second) within that 15 second time
frame, then will continue and show again within another 15secs and so
on.

Hello, I'm having the same situation, my washing machine stops working before 5ms and the start and start delay buttons flash together, with some pauses. What was the solution to your problem? Thank you
Just had an engineer out to look at my machine. Different problem - machine won't start, door won't lock but all programme lights work. Ran the test cycle and machine passed. It appears that i need a new board. He did ask if any lights came on - as the machine does this to show you the fault code - that might be what your machines are doing.

It appears your timer/main controller/CCU has failed in this instance.
For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing. I recommend both sites because ...
FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.
PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information. RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.
If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell. In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.
Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.
If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

Pressing the options and select buttons simultaneously for 5-10 seconds worked. For me it happened this way: on the first attempt, with the indicator lights already "timed-out" and off, pressing and holding the options and select buttons simultaneously for 5-10 seconds caused the lights to come back on and flash the "LOC" code again. But holding the options and select buttons together for 5-10 seconds a second time caused the indicator lights to stop flashing, and allowed me to start the cycle.
