You need to check which file formats it does play and (unfortunately) convert them to one of those on a computer. This can easily be done with one like Wondershare Video Converter (software).

That wont help. The "product" will give you four or five chances to change out the region.

Your product manual will tell you how to change it. But there is always a copyright limit.
If you install Anydvd from
www.slysoft.com
it will strip out the region codes and play/copy the dvd on your product

Whoever installed it, wired your power wire to the "run" branch of your fuse block, instead of the "acc" (or accessories) branch where it should have been wired to.

The open tray and unplayable disc is because the lens isn't strong on the drive and needs to have a Pot calibration done to it to make the lens signal stronger. That should fix the open tray/unplayable disc issue. I have done this to quite a few drives and all have been working fine since.

Most of the time when your Xbox 360 says "Unplayable Disc" it's because the disc is unknown or it can read the label of the disc(the ring in the middle on the silver side). I cant provide anymore imformation due to your post. Be more specific.

have you tried cleaning your Disc.

goto youtube and search for unplayable disk error fix.

Open up the console and open up the CD Drive. Clean the lens of the CD Drive with some rubbing alcohol and a q-tip. Then put the console back together.
