Display static - Blaupunkt Nashville DAB35 CD Player

if your seeing static on a digital tv , your problem is "Not" in the tv its in the signal source (cable box, sat scram,Etc)

digital tvs cant produce "static" displays because they don't receive wide spectrum signals like analog TV's did (carol-ann knows this!) there "filters" are very narrow and specific , this is also why there range is dramatically smaller than analog tvs
also everyone by now knows that tv stations can no longer transmit in analog format (in Usa), G4 cell phones got there band space

Step 1:
Static, or fuzz, on your computer display is often caused by interference or an improperly functioning driver. Eliminate static using a two-part process. Ensure that your connections are tight and then ensure that you have the most recent display software installed on your computer. The entire procedure can be done in about 30 minutes or less.

Reach around to the back of your computer and ensure that your monitor cable is tightly connected to the machine. Perform the same task at the point where the cable connects to your monitor. Go to the website of your video card's manufacturer and click on the "Drivers Download" page. Enter the model number of your video card and click "Search." Download the latest driver for your system. Click "Save" to store the file on your hard drive. Double click on the file and click "Install" to install the driver to your system. Restart your computer when the installation is complete.

Remvoe clean well and reset the main board and the display section. make sure that the connections are tight and there are no loose joint to give nay visual display of static.
if so it can be a display fault.

The poor display is a known problem.. see my other posts for the cure. As for the thump..a slight one isn't uncommon... but static?- you mean crackling? from the cubes? all of them? unplug the audio leads from the head unit to the bass and see if it stops..then you can narrow it down a bit.

Well in this case you may have an issue with your Video Board, if the static showed on the menu, then the issue would have been with your DMD Board, but not in this case.

Mike, The static electrical spark probably 'zapped' the Rth230b Honeywell Display unit. If you have already tried removing the power (batteries) from the unit and after waiting several minutes; reapply the power (batteries). If the problems remain unchanged, then it is time to replace the Display unit with a new one. The static electricity problem is problematic and the only way to prevent the same problem from recurring is to discharge yourself before touching the Honeywell Display. As you walk across the room which (probably has carpet), causes the static electricity to build up on your body and then discharges itself through the Display unit when you make contact with the Display unit. You might try coming to a complete stop and attempt to discharge the static charge on your body by touching the wall first with one hand for a second before touching the Display unit with the other hand. Naturally, cold weather with low humidity makes the static electricity worse. Hopes this helps you. Henry

I had the same problem when I answered my cordless phone static charge went thru me and into my phone and I had now display, so i changed the batteries in the handset and it worked. So I hope this works for you.
