I have a boss 400w riot 2-4 channels, how do i connect the high level wires? Because stereo doesn't have rca's

to use the high level leads, you have to isolate the wires going to each speaker (if using 4 channel mode) or isolate the wires going just to the rear if you are using 2 channel mode. you have to strip a small piece of the insulation off each speaker wire, and run it into the amps high level input harness. if you dont have the high level input harness, you can get a 2 channel high level to rca adapter for around $20. basically, you are tapping into the signal to the stock speakers to feed music to the amp. make sure you get all your positives and negatives correct. brighter wires are usually positive; however you may be faced with sa speaker which uses a grey wire, and another grey wire- the second with a black line. you will have to, again, turn to internet research to determine which is positive and negative, if the colors are not obvious.

Hi i just got a ava1202 boss eq it didnt have instructions this eq has rca inputs and high level speaker inputs can i use this eq with out an amp can smeone plz help me thnk u

Yes you can use the equalizer without an amplifier. That is what the high level speaker inputs are for. You simply take the positive and negative from a speaker and hook it up to the positive and negative high level speaker inputs on the equalizer.

Led normally goes blue rca s need a signal from stereo make sure its a amp out or sub out not an input on stereo set all knobs to middle and if speaker is connected to amp speaker + - it should be on, try an mp3 player with jack to rca for testing a known signal.amp may have loop rca make sure its on inputs.some have high inputs too using speakers wire stick with rca

What is the wire diagram for the 3way bx35 boss crossover

Hello rew_smith,

The wiring diagram is silk screened right on the top of the unit. If your diagram is missing or obscured, you can get one directly from www.bossaudio.com.

The first 3 pairs of connections for subwoofer, front, and rear inputs coming from your receiver or head unit. Top is left channel, bottom is right channel. The 2nd set of connections are the outputs and matched in function to the first set. These are connected to your amp(s).

To the right of the input/output connectors are the 12V +, remote and ground screw terminals. The 2 switches and 9 controls allow you to set the high-pass frequency and output levels for the front and rear channels, and the crossover frequency, bass boost, phase, and output level for the subwoofer.

Hope this helps.

I need to know how to install a Boss Audio

Hello viperman2004,

Just connect your speaker leads to the input of the B65N (gray and gray/white pigtail leads), run the RCA cables to your amp (red=right) inputs, adjust the left and right level controls to match the amp input without distortion, and mount the unit.

Hope this helps.

How to install a 7 band boss eq with no high input jacks

If you are using the low input to put high input in you can use a 22k resistor and a 10uf capacitor connected in series to the plus side of the speaker wires. This will bring down the signal level from the speaker to low input level and you will have a nice distorted free music.
