Hello viperman2004,

Just connect your speaker leads to the input of the B65N (gray and gray/white pigtail leads), run the RCA cables to your amp (red=right) inputs, adjust the left and right level controls to match the amp input without distortion, and mount the unit.

Hope this helps.

Setup turntable/preamp and 2 front speakers. Denon avr s 700w

Not much to set up - make sure the turntable is level and stable and the tonearm adjusted to the correct playing weight for the cartridge/stylus and then connect the turntable to a suitable RIAA corrected preamp input - low impedance high sensitivity for magnetic cartridge and high impedance low sensitivity for ceramic or piezo cartridge. The speakers are best placed far enough apart for good stereo separation and on a substrate that doesn't resonate, if necessary placing them on something like concrete paving slabs or fitting them with pointed feet to bite through carpet.

Another conundrum

To check for yourself, get an Ohmmeter and see if the outers of the amplifiers RCAs are connected to the ground or each other. If so then it cannot take speaker signals directly.
I suspect the 'High Level' the manual speaks of are the 4volt auxilliary audio signals that can be found on some newer head units, not speaker signals.
Speaker level signals from a bridge amp CAN be used on grounded RCA inputs if the signal is first passed through a simple decoupler and attenuator.

Jet sound equalizer js 214 wire color code

Black wire is ground, Red with 5a fuse is hot. Green/black is L Ground BTL, Grey /black is right ground BTL, the RCAs are left and right low level inputs. Then there is the 5 pin connector. It has a red wire for +12v, two black wires for input grounds, a green wire for left Hi input and a gray wire for right high input. If you install using traditional common ground high level, then you don't used the two BTL wires. Just connect the wires from your 5 pin connctor. If you use the low level RCAs for inputs, then you only need to connect the red and black from your 5 pin connector.(Plus the main red and black) Make sure the switched on the bottom of your EQ are set correctly. COM for common ground and LOW for RCA input or High for Green/Gray wire input. If you are using a floating ground the select BTL and connect the two BTL wires to the floating grounds of your stereo. There is also a line input adjuster so you can adjust your input sensitivity to match your reciever. I have the owners manual if you have any other questions.

Hi i just got a ava1202 boss eq it didnt have instructions this eq has rca inputs and high level speaker inputs can i use this eq with out an amp can smeone plz help me thnk u

Yes you can use the equalizer without an amplifier. That is what the high level speaker inputs are for. You simply take the positive and negative from a speaker and hook it up to the positive and negative high level speaker inputs on the equalizer.

How to install a 7 band boss eq with no high input jacks

If you are using the low input to put high input in you can use a 22k resistor and a 10uf capacitor connected in series to the plus side of the speaker wires. This will bring down the signal level from the speaker to low input level and you will have a nice distorted free music.

Fosgate 201s amp, high level inputs... where do i hook these wires....

Hello mhjoubert,

On the Punch 201s, the high-level inputs are located just below the gain control. When used to power a sub, most commonly these are connected to the rear speaker wires of your receiver. If the amp is used to power a set of normal speakers, you would connect them to whichever set of speaker wires you intend to power.

Actually, it's probably a better idea to install a low-level converter on the receiver speaker wires and then use the RCA connections for input. This way, you have better control on the input signal, lessen the possibility of induced noise, and do not need to worry about an impedance mismatch causing problems.

You can download a copy of the Rockford-Fosgate manual here:

Factory stero to amp

If the amplifier has inputs for a high level signal, you unhook the wires going into the speaker and plug them into the amp, then hook the outputs up to the speakers. If the amp only has rca inputs, you need to also buy a line level converter. Then you unhook the speakers, hook the wires up the the converter, then hook the converter up to the amp, then hook the amp up to the speakers.

Please leave good feedback!

JENSEN XA 184 AMPLIFIER

Hi, Jensen is under different ownership from when your amp was made, so it's unlikely that you'll find a replacement plug for the high-level input. A high-low converter is also called a line-out converter. It's a device that connects to the speaker wires and changes the signal to a low-level RCA connection. This allows you to use the amp's RCA plugs with your speaker wiring (through RCA signal cables). A line-out converter should be available any place that sells car audio accessories.
