There may be thread jammed in the bobbin winder spindle, or the winder rubber needs replacing...around $4
Remove the top cover to check, or take it to local janome dealer if you do not feel confident to do this yourself

Can't figure out how to fill the bobbin

hi Beverly.
you have not said what make and model.
but try this.
Always wind the bobbin before threading the machine and needle.
  1. Place spool of thread on spool pin.
  2. Slide spool pin holder/cap firmly over rim of spool to prevent thread from tangling.
  3. Push bobbin winder pin to far left if it is not already there.

How do I get machine case open to take care of thread jam around spindle

Um, you cannot fill a bobbin while it is loaded in the shuttle. To fill the bobbin, you have to remove it from the machine, go through other threading sequences and wind the bobbin on the outside of the machine. If you'd provide us with the make & model of your machine, we could probably help. With the information we've been provided, there's not much we can do.

Unable to remove bobbin from bobbin threader till almost all thread removed. Viking 1+

You could stop the bobbin filling process just before the bobbin is "full."
Most machines have a finger that rides against the area being filled; maybe this is bent?

White sewing machine model 1805 can't get it to sew the wheel turns and belt is ok . It is like the wheel is frozen Do you change it after filling a bobbin?

If I recall correctly, to fill a bobbin you must first release the belt from the wheel by loosening the knob on the small machine wheel. Then after the bobbin is filled you need to tighten that knob again. Do you have the manual?

My singer quantum 9940 bobbin will not fill even. What seems to be the problem?

There's a small screw on top of bobbin winder on your machine. Turn screw to adjust pressure where bobbin meets the winder when winder is pushed to right to wind it. Test with small turns until you are satisfied with appearance. Make sure nice, even fill- as you know, imbalanced bobbin will reak havoc. Jimmy

Bobbin filling

Does the winder spin freely by hand? If so then it needs to be adjusted, maybe a new bobbin tire also. If not then try oiling it and freeing it up by hand.
Hope this helps.

White 2037 Bobbin Filling

turn your thread 3 turns to the right, clockwise,
then pass theend of the thread, under the coming thread and give it another 3 turns to the right.
For better results, always remove old thread from bobbin before filling it up.

Problem with bobbin case - new machine Singer CE 100

My problem is solved (I think...that is a knock on wood kind of thing). Upon recommendation from another Futura user, I remove and clean my bobbin case and I put a drop of oil in the little hole under my bobbin case about every 5th or 6th monogram use. AND, I pitched all of my bobbins that were 15 and not 15J (I had some that were 15 and they were the culprit as well.) I have had no more problem. It seemed the least bit of lint caused me a lot of birdnesting. I also stopped using rayon thread and use only polyester and bobbin fill in the bobbin. I have got to say I am thoroughly enjoying my machine these days. Please try these things before giving up on this so user friendly machine.
