I had my sewing machine repaired twice by Janome, but the problem remained. My bobbin winder would do a few rounds, beep, and then stop. I had to repeatedly stop and start the bobbin winder to fill my bobbin. I fixed this problem, simply by holding on tight to the handwheel to stop it turning whilst winding a bobbin. I did this each time I filled a bobbin. Then one day I forgot, and only realised afterwards that my bobbin winder was working properly. I think I must have filled around 7 bobbins before I realised the issue was fixed.

How can i adjust my 500e embroidery machine to stop the thread ferring up

Try reducing thread tension.

Try a different bobbin

If no change, see "Cleaning the Hook Area" in your operators manual.

Inspect bobbin, bobbin holder and hook race for burrs. Especially if a needle broke just prior to the start of the problem.

Thread quality?... As a test, try using a different (new) thread, wind a bobbin with same new thread also.

Re Janome 7330 bobbin winding problem. Thread jumps out of the top guide when bobbin is winding. I've tried everything; different speeds, main spool upright, tightening the screw on the thread guide.

Slow down the speed of your machine while winding the bobbin. Winding slowly will prevent the thread jumping out of the guides but will also limit the amount of stretch applied to the thread as it is wound on the bobbin. You will also get a much more uniformly wound bobbin.

Bobbin winder is engaged and shows up on screen correctly, but sewing mode is still engaged and bobbin winding keeps stopping.

check the drive knob on the end of the machine
it should be loose when winding a bobbin
if it is tight or seized then that will drive the needle

Bobbin winding stops after few minutes of winding, & will start again but does same thing

I don't have your machine but this sometimes happens to me when the tread piles up at the top or bottom of the bobbin. If that is the case with your machine then try to guide the thread so it winds on evenly.

Janome 6600 bobbin will not wind error "stop for safety purposes"

I have a feeling the sensor has been jolted just enough to make it stop. Pretty sure this can be adjusted by the dealer quickly. Worse case scenario, you'll have to replace a sensor.

Bobbin winder not spinning

I think you have to flip a switch , watch the screen for instructions and then step on the foot control.

Janome Memory Craft 10001

Are you checking the simple things such as making sure you have the presser foot up when you thread and the tensions set between 4 and 6, bobbin in the correct way round and tension enough to pull the thread through with some resistence.
