Refrig won't cool on either freezer or refrig side. Confirmed manual settings & allowed 24 hrs for cooling. Is there a reset switch somewhere other than manual switches inside refrig?

check that the compressor is working by feeling for motor vibrations at the compressor, hot compressor unit or hot fins or back wall of the fridge
if there is not heat then the compressor is not working
call a technician as it could be a start/run capacitor failed or compressor seized
get a quote as some compressor replacements cost as much as a new fridge
check that the utility power is getting to the fridge/freezer

7 year old refridgerator not getting cold enough. Thawing in freezer. Should the condenser be hot/warm to the touch? Is there a re-set?

Hello,

The condersor coil will be very warm to hot..not so much so it will burn you, yet very warm..the things that will make it very overly warm is if its clogged with dust or the condenser fan motor isnt running all the time the compressor is on. But it will normally be warm all the time the compressor is running..that heat is whats being removed from inside (the way refrigs. work is they remove the heat so when the heat is gone only cold is left)

Nine y/o GE side by side not getting cold enough

More likely a defrost heater. Look inside the freezer at the back wall. Any frost there? If so, turn off refrig., unload freezer, take back panel off inside freezer, and use a hair dryer to melt off the frost. Replace the defrost heater located at the bottom of the frosted coils. (New heater may appear different than original, but instructions are included) If you don't have the defrost heater on hand, just manually defrosting the coils and re-starting the refrig will get is cooling again for at least a week before problem will re-occur. (this give you enough time to get the replacement part)

The strip between the freezer and refrig door is extremely hot. Never felt hot before. It is not the door, but the refrig and freezer itself. The refrig is still cold and freezer is frozen.

The heat you are feeling is normal, I wouldn't worry too much about it. If you start having a problem with cooling you may want to look into getting a repair guy to look at it but many refrigerators will heat up in that strip between the fridge and freezer.

ZFSB26DRESS water runs warm and freezer not staying cold.

It sounds like the condenser coils , the coils by the compressor , need cleaned badly . This (and the compressor cooling fan) , can cause the compressor to cut off on overload (due to the heat) , thereby not circulation refrigerant thru out the freezer coils .
The water line goes from inside the freezer door ( cold ) , under the refrig ( warm ) , then to the inside refrig water reservoir ( cold ) . After that , you should get cold water , until the reservoir is drained of cold water .

Side by side refridge was dirty and I cleaned

I would pull the refrig out , and remove the back panel , covering the compressor and fan motor . Check to see if the fan is working . Fan not working , causes the divider panel , to get very hot . Also , fan not working , causes the compressor to over heat and cut off on the overload .

Controls for freezer and refrigator are set for supper cold and the refrigator side is not cold. Also the freezer seems to not be a cold.

Look inside at the freezer at the back.
If you see ice like snow at the back your ref is frozen and can be a thermostat or heater
