Be very careful because theres a photosensor inside. Once it sees light, it ereses the data from the eeprom. Its a frickin boobytrap!!

I have one that was attempted to be repaired by another shop, now its a boobytrap victim. It has a good screen, if you still have your tv lmk mabye we can work something out

Need pedestal stand

6_4_2014_1_40_45_am.jpgIf you go on line and do a search " flat screen pedestal stands , you find many of them. The one pictured here is from the amazon site. If you want a table top stand, do the search for " table top flat screen stands" They are universal, so you just need to purchase one for a 42".

JVC Mod #LT-42P789. Screen is damaged, need replacement screen.

Bad news; the cost of the panel and labor will be close or equal to replacement cost for the whole set.
If you are lucky, you might find a used 'pull' at the site below:
Jimmy's Parts
Asian labor has made nearly everything 'disposable.'

JVC PD-42DX6BJ plasma 42 inch black horizontal lines over the pic

Here's a link to order the original the JVC upper Y-buffer board and lower Y-buffer board for this model from a major parts distributor if needed:

JVC "PD-42DX6" Replacement Part Upper Y - Buffer Board (LJ41-02760A)

JVC "PD-42DX6" Replacement Part Lower Y - Buffer Board (LJ41-02761A)

Based on the symptoms: It is possible that the Y-buffers are faulty, which may require the replacement of the Y-sus board as well. You may want to get a local technician to diagnose the unit and provide a second opinion.

JVC HDTV Pictrure Distortion

Your TV needs to be calibrated. Rear projection TVs are very sensitive to movement. They have 3 color canons that need to be precisely aligned so that the colors overlay each other. They are like three projectors all aimed at the same screen.

If you were to enter the User Menu on the TV, you should find an alignment/calibration choice that will re-align the colors using some on-screen help.

If you are not able to resolve the situation on your own, a certified ISF Calibrationist should be called.

And, since you've bought this TV used, it should be cleaned by a professional (the canons, lenses, etc.)

dds426's reply:

The problem was not a cable connection. A chip needed to be replaced at the tune of over $600j (includes $200 for the repairmen coming to my home to dismantle and take to the shop and return it).
