SOURCE: paper light flashes red...

I found just doing this one simple thing sorted the problem.

First take off the front cover. Pull the tabs on the side. Pull out the big toner and cartridge. Do you see the blue tab on the top shaped like an arrow/triangle? Slide the tab from right to left - reinsert toner close door.
Hope it works for you

Why does the lid lock light start flashing after the wash cycle and will not rinse or spin?

Lift lid, stick screwdriver into slot where lid latch-pin inserts and see if it goes into the cycle. If so, try adjusting position of latch.

Lid light flashing

OK have you tried unplugging the machine for 15 minutes and then re-plug in? This will reset it. If it still does this then the switch (little hole with white rubber depression on side where lid closes) is bad and needs to be replaced. It is a safety warning indicator telling you the machine is not Locked! It is annoying for a reason cause you can get hurt!

My washer sensor turns on and then the lid light starts flashing and the washer will not turn on. What is wrong with it?

What is the model number listed on the unit? The lid lock assembly is broken. If you are under warranty get it replaced. If not remove the top of the washer and take out the switch assembly. The 4 wires going in are Yellow, Red, White, and Blue. If you short the white and blue together, the washer thinks the lid is closed. If you short the red white and blue together the washer thinks the lid is closed and locked. The yellow is only there to activate the electromagnetic switch.
Disconnecting the switch assembly will not work.
The electromagnet locks the lid and it also unlocks the lid. It is not a matter of cutting the power to the magnet.
Installing 2 switches that connect the red white and blue is the best option if you want to remove the lock.
The first switch should connect the white and blue. (LID CLOSED)
The second should connect the red to the white/blue connection. (LID LOCKED)

I have a LG washing machine model WT-R851 that will fill machine with water and drain water, but will not go thru the washing cycle or spin dry ,the red light flashes saying that the lid is opened and...

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

If I understand the symptoms the fact that the red light flashes saying that the lid is open suggests to me that there is likely to be a problem with either the lid solenoid/lock or the 'lid closed' sensor. Both require a service engineer's attention I suggest ;-0(

If this has assisted and/or clarified the situation for you please consider a 4 thumbs up on our rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Here's an excerpt from the Sony Manual online. And the link - http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/webtree.pl?template=EN&mdl=KDF55XS955&content_id=68&category_id=11&problem_id=52

The POWER/STANDBY (red) indicator flashes three times
If your power/standby indicator is flashing in a pattern of three flashes, this may indicates that the lamp cover is not attached securely. Follow the directions in the Operating Manual under changing your lamp that related to closing and securing the Lamp Cover. Ensure that the Lamp Cover Door is securely fastened by tightening each screw.

The POWER/STANDBY (red) indicator flashes continously
If your power/standby indicator is flashing continuously, and the lamp cover has been secured, your TV may be in need of service.

The POWER/STANDBY indicator is lit up green (not flashing)
A sustained green light indicates your TV is on.

The POWER/STANDBY indicator is lit up red (not flashing)
A sustained red light from your power/standby indicator simply indicates that your TV is in standby mode. This shows you that your TV is ready to be turned on with the remote.

Is it the power light and not the lamp light? If the lamp light is flashing then replace the lamp.

My Epson Perfection 4990 indicator light is flashing red shortly after the scanner is turned on. The manual says that the light tube needs replacing. How do I do this or is it a professional repair?

I had the same problem and first checked the instructions in the Epson manual on the red flashing problem, read the following pdfs: Indicator light or problems

I saw the fluorescent lamp come on for a second before the indicator light started to flash red, so I knew that the lamp was ok and did not need to be replaced. Try this turn off the scanner and try unplugging the transparency lid from the back of the scanner, turn on the scanner and see if the light goes back to green. My issue turned out the be the mechanism inside the transparency lid, I kind of heard an awkward noise when I turned on the scanner, but thought it was coming from the base, I rlocked and unlocked the transportaion lock on both the base and lid, to see if that would fix it but it turned out it was coming from the lid, where there is also moving parts inside using a belt and wheels. On the end wheel closest to the front, the 2 little plastic pegs that hold down the square metal plate with wheel broke off, I could hear them inside when I lightly shook the lid, anyways I opened up the lid by removing the 5 screws and you need a screwdriver to put in each of the little openings around the edge to pry open the lid. I removed the belt and metal plate, watch out there is a spring attached to it, don;t forget how this part works when you put it back on, I found both of the little broken pegs and glued them back on with a strong plastic epoxy glue that I bought at Ace Hardware, I let that dry for 24 hours and then put the metal plate and wheel on then put the belt around the wheel, and now everything works fine.
