Make sure that replacement battery was not stale. Weak battery will provide a weak signal and reduce distance of transmission.

If works short time, your battery is getting dead.
A short distance might be simple that wireless is too low, If it is same with full chage, it's siml?y the quality of your keyboard

It sound like the receiver in the vehicle is the source of the problem either shorting out or the receivers signal is malfunctioning

There is no way to tell if you only have the one transmitter. If you have another remote or a wireless keypad that is working normally then it is that remote.

On my cars this has always been a remote battery replacement issue, weak battery equals weak signal causes short range. However you say you bought new remotes and they must have had new batteries in them. Did someone put some metal foil shielding around the receiver?I think this would have to be some type of bad receiver issue.

Bushnell has discontinued service on the yp500, yp400,yp800,yp800.yp1000. Basically all the units that look like this one. They will offer you a new unit at wholesale price.

Did you actually go to the power head and push the program button, then the remote button?

Is there a small wire hanging down from the power head? It's the antenna wire.

doesnt work at all or only close. if not at all, recode remote. if short distance, try reaiming antenna wire.
