After unzipping the file, click on the SETUP.EXE file to begin installation.
Download update: http://olympusamerica.com/files/DWPUP2EN.zip
Download update 2.1.3: http://olympusamerica.com/files/DWPUP4EN.zip
Do not have recorder connected until all software installed and then reboot computer. Once computer rebooted then connect the recorder.

Can I get this to work in windows vista 32 bit system?

That recorder most likely records in a format like WMV or another one so yes it will work with any computer, the issue might be finding drivers for the computer to see it though.

I am on windows 7 with a vn 960pc digital voice recorder. Problem: I can not transfer folders (files) from recorder to PC. The computer reads the files, detects the recorder but won't transfer folder...

Probably a bit late but I got my Olympus VN-960PC Digital Voice Recorder to work on my MacBook Pro running Win7 with Bootcamp by using this site and DL's from there....
