My computer is no sound,i dont know what i do

what problem is it?is it no sound?

• if no sound. Have you installed the driver for the sound?
• check the device manager if the sound driver is installed properly.
• Right Click "My Computer" and on the menu choose "Manage"
• Then on the listed items on the right click "Device Manager"
• Now the left window will show the devices installed in your computer.
• Look for " Sound,Video and Game Controllers " and click the " + " sign.
• Be sure that all the device had been installed properly..if you see a yellow mark with exclamation point it means the device has a problem.
• You need reinstall the driver using the cd driver of the computer..if you dont have the cd you will need to download the driver.
• If you know the name of the software for your sound for example (Realtek AC'97) you can search the google for that driver..
• But if you dont know the right software you can download this software: EVEREST Ultimate Edition - http://www.mediafire.com/?mmmymemydmj
• Extract That using winrar and Install it.
• after installing run the program and enter the product key provided in the downloaded file.
• now on the program Click " Multimedia " and and Click "HD Audio"
• you will the product name of the Audio Device like in this photo, Mine is Realtek ALC883
• Now when you know the Name of your device...You can download it in Google..

First: you must go to the website of the computer manufacture.
Second: Search drivers and find your specific computer model, and there should be a list provided for you recommending what is the best drivers for your computer.
Third: Find one relating to sound and install it.
If there is more steps it should show you how to finish the installation. installing a wrong sound driver will not hurt your computer. if it does not work simply uninstall it and try a new one.

did you install the sound drivers? if not, install the sound drivers. if you have no installer, just search it on google and download. you must know the brand and model of you motherboard so that you can easily search the compatible sound drivers.

to check the sound driver -
click start - right click my computer - properties - device manager then look down the list and see if there is a yellow ? beside sound, video and game controllers. If this is the case first try to update the driver there otherwise go to http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/notebook/as_4520.html

I have a new computer and I instaled win xp.
I cant hear from the loudspeaker nothing.
on the loudspeaker icon on the toolbar it write iwts all ok.

I dont know what to do , and i dont know which driver to download because I dont know which sound card I have.

the problem is that your sound driver is not installed. You might have got a driver cd when you purchased your PC. Installed the required sound driver and you are done. if you dont know what driver you need you can try sound max or realtek ac97 or conexant audio driver...
