The spray gun instruction HERE but be very careful - try shampooing in an inconspicuous area first. This is essentially as if you would buy some of those "spray on" upholstery cleaners in an aerosol cans.

Note: I found the most difficult part was ensuring that the belt was connected correctly, so spend a couple extra minutes in the beginning and you won't need to sit in soggy carpet working with it.
