You need to change the source (original remote) or the input (univeral remote). It needs to be in TV mode - not video.

Try some new batteries in the remote, or, just roll the batteries in the holder.

if only see blue screen indicate no video signal, check the yellow cable.
it is due to electrolytic capacitor failure in vertical output section.
just get it replaced.
it very very common & minor problem.
