Can not set up scan to email

describe problem in more details about what technic u are using to scan , desktop binder or scan to email?

it is trick part as ricoh does not go well with pc connectivity . u have to install the scan driver through cd and follow the steps

Scan to email is only 'tiff' format on that model...the scan settings you're checking are for scanning to folder only

no work around for machine. you can scan to a folder on the network, than attach your doc to an email. only way to do it on a ssl.

what are you scanning to, email or folder ?

the main part of the kit is a dimm card. the dimm has the fax/scan/print stored on it. the problem adding this to your machine is drivers, only twain scanning, no scan to folerd, no internet faxing, no winodws 7 drivers. if you get a whole kit you need to add the fax pcb and also get the nic for it to scan properly. good luck

I'm confused. Are you saying that the programmed addresses don't work, but if you manually enter an address you can send?
Was your Gmail ( or another Gmail) account formerly the account to which the machine's settings were associated?
In order to use the scan to email, whatever settings have changed in your main email account, for example: username, password, SMTP & POP servers, etc, must be changed to match.
I am prettty sure you may have some difficulty, however if your new host uses Email encryption (SSL) , because I don't think that machine is compatible, so you may have to (somehow) configure an extra email account within your Outlook, or whatever you use that does not require authentication.

You can either install the Twain Scanning driver - printer driver disc or use Scan to email function.

If the scanner has not been configured, or network settings have changed, the setup for scanning on this unit is unfortunately quite difficult for a novice. the manuals are readily available at Ricoh.com, under Downloads, but this will not help very much with the scanner config.
