hi i have the same problem with kodak m753 and i fix it,,look under the lcd screen theres a pin clip attache to the sensor is probly disconnect to the main board.good luck

Maybe a switch problem? Take it to your local servicer to get a certified fix.

Most likely youve damage the lcd screen either by dropping it even though you didnt, but that would be the only cause this problem, line on a lcd screen are usually cause by a broken power current thru screen or a cracked lcd screen maybe it was defective in the first time. I dont know, but line are usually means no power or no information going thru screen.
