I tried this once an it worked. Tech came from Sears an asked where fuse box was. He tripped the breaker for dishwasher. Flipped it back on after 10 seconds. Came to the dishwasher an it was like new again. He said sometimes they need a reset. If that did not work he had to replace the panel. Hope it works for you.
The lock lever on the unit --- that is shaped like a U --- if you have it ---may be bent a little. You can move it to the correct position - usually down a little --and your door will stay closed

Yes indeed! If you know the measurements, you can buy a stainless panel from www.applianceart.com cut to any size you would like. THey also have a cheaper "faux" stainless option too. Many colors and designs as well.
