SOURCE: zanussi dishwasher DA6142s discharge hose

With most dishwashers that i have pulled apart it is at the bottom of the dishwaher. You should be able to remove the bottom plate (under dishwasher) and take the clap of and put a new one on.

How to remove the drain hose from a SMEG DWAU6214X Dishwasher?

Pull it out and tip it on its front and you should be able to work from underneath, or remove the side panel. This appears to be an Australian model. We are in North America, so this link should work better for you.

Hello. I have asko dw20.1 and the drain hose has a split. Can I replace with generic dishwasher hose and does it need to be specific length. ? Thank you

yes----- if there are no molded bends
generally the end has to higher that the dishwasher or the water will continually drain out
do not use a length that allows hose to lay on the floor as that will eventually get blocked with rubbish and not drain

Split black hose from bottom of dish washer does it just go to bottom of tray

Ypou'll have to examine the hose, because without a make and model, we don;t know which hose you're referring to. In fact, it is likely there may be more than one hose on dishwashers, anyway.

I need to replace the drain hose on my Samsung dishwasher as old one split but cant work out how to do it.

It's a big job. You have to pull the dishwasher all the way out. On most Samsung DW's, you then need to remove the metal panel on the left side of the DW to be able to get to the case-brake assembly. Remove the water inlet port on the inside of the dishwahser by turning it counter-clockwise ( a tool will be required). Pull the case-break assembly out so you can get to the clamp that holds the drain hose in place. Pull the clamp down and remove the hose. Have a towel or Sham-Wow ready to catch all the water. You will have to disengage the hose clamp at the back of the dishwasher, then you can pull the hose out. Reverse the process to install the new hose. As I said, it's a big job; if it sounds like more than you want to do, I recommend calling a professional repairman. Sears has technicians who are experienced with Samsung dishwashers.

I WANT TO REPLACE DRAIN HOSE WITH NEW ONE AS OLD ONE SPLIT

It's a fairly big job. You have to pull the dishwasher out from under the cabinet. Then remove the left-hand metal panel. You should now be looking at the case-brake assembly. Reach inside the dishwahsher and turn the water-inlet bezel counter-clockwise to remove it. Now you can tilt out the case-brake assembly and loosen the clamp that holds the drain hose in place. Pull the hose off (have a towel or Sham-Wow ready to catch the water). Then you have to remove the clamp or hose-restraint at the back of the dishwasher. Thaen you can pull the drain hose out and replace it.

Replace dishwasher drain hose F&P DW60

The attached assembly document might be helpful. To access the drain hose at the dishwasher end your best bet is to pull the dishwasher out from under kitchen cabinet and lay it on the floor on its side. Make sure you disconnect the mains power and the hose connections first. The hose should be accessible from the bottom of dishwasher.

Hi jmjohnnamarti,

Yes you can, the part numbers below:

Drain hose (1.5M) = 2244182
Drain Hose (2.25M) = 2244212
Inlet Hose (Normal) = 5936070
Inlet Hose (Waterproof System - 2M) = 7638500

Get it from your local appliance spares outlet, might need to be ordered (Quite expensive)

At some point the dishwasher leaks onto the floor. what could be the possible problem?

this are the possibilities for the leak :-----
Door gasket loose/torn
Corner gaskets or door baffle/vent gasket
Door lock/latch loose/broken
Split spray arm
Over filling with water...usually the level is just under the heating element is normal
Something leaking through the door...like the soap or rinse agent dispenser gasket, silverware basket button.
Door hinge(s) bent
Wrong soap was used...dish sink soap instead of dishwasher soap
Rinse aid being used with mechanically softened water ( makes foam or suds inside the dishwasher )

Leaks from under the unit:
Look for whiting or calcium stain on the motor and pump assembly = motor and pump assembly seal leak...access panel removal help
Hose for upper spray arm split
Fill hose split or fill hose spout air inlet is calcium covered
Drain hose is split
Rusted liner...metal liners only
Fill valve leaking or allowing water to fill all the time
Heating element ends....where they come out through the dishwasher liner
Float or float gasket.
